LS swap cold air intake

A scan fit cold air intake for LS swapped E36 chassis. It runs from the throttle body across the core support and drops behind the grille, pulling cold air instead of engine bay heat.

Every surface was designed against a 3D scan of the engine bay, so it clears the radiator, latch and core support without cutting. The images are renders of the actual parts on that scan.

The numbers behind it.

+9%Smallest flow area in the duct, 7,237 mm², against the 6,648 mm² of a 92 mm throttle bore. The duct is never the restriction.
43 m/sPeak air speed in the duct at about 650 cfm, a 6.0 L LS at 6,500 rpm.
3.5 mmHood clearance over the core support, checked against a clay measurement on the car.
1.1 kgPrinted weight of the five duct sections in ASA, calculated from the CAD volume.
0.8 mmHex surface texture across the flat run, sized to print cleanly on a 0.4 mm nozzle.
256 mmEvery section fits a standard print bed, so a damaged piece is a quick reprint.

For off road and competition use only. Final specifications are confirmed after track validation.
