Cowl slot block off plate

A flat block off plate for the slot in the E36 cowl ahead of the windshield. It screws to the four factory square clip holes and its bottom edge slides under the lip strip, like a cut aluminum plate but with a finished white hex face and a small Toler Motorsports badge in the corner.

Two options. With loom holes, two holes sit on the joint between the halves, so the plate closes around the wiring of a PCM mounted in the slot with everything still plugged in, and the loose wires stay hidden behind the plate. With no holes, it closes the slot completely. The outline is straight edges and radii, sized from a 3D scan of the car with the screw positions and the lip measured on it.

MountingFour factory square clip holes with anchor clips. Three are slotted to take up small differences between cars.

Bottom edgeStraight, and slides into the channel under the lip strip so no edge shows

ConstructionFlat 4 mm plate in two printed halves joined by a hidden lap joint and M3 screws. No glue.

WiringTwo 19.6 mm holes on the joint, a snug fit on two 3/4 in looms from a PCM in the slot. The halves close around the looms, so nothing gets unplugged.
